Yeah I've been gone how long and this is all I want to talk about? Yes so sad. Any hoo When I first heard the news of Red Dwarf going back on the air I could have shit a solid gold brick. A dream of mine finally came true along with millions of other RD fans. I first heard the news from my good friend and fellow dwarfer . At first I was like oh crap I'm dreaming this has got to be a dream *pinches self violently* holy crap I'm not dreaming! YESSSSS! But unfortunately I do not get the channel it comes on since I live in the freaking U.S. Aw come on share. lol I ask Sarah what she thought of the new series, which she told me but suggested that I see and judge them for myself. Yeah I just recently got around to doing that and my rulings are as follows:
One: They have some age on them...yeah give them a break it’s been nine years since the last episode.
Two: Everything is brand-spanking shinning new on the ship. A very big thing to get used to, but that's thanks to a better budget.
Three: I miss the cheesy laugh track. Yes I do very much.
Apart from all that I absolutely loved it. It rekindled the sputtering flame of my love and obsession with the series. I've only seen the first episode of the new season but I liked it so much I pre-ordered the DVD, which will be released in October.
The new female hologram is a nice touch I like her but then I don't. I think it has something to do with the fact that her whole purpose is to exterminate Rimmer completely that there will be no trace of his existence. And that burns under my skin. But from what I heard from another friend Rimmer gets the best of her. Go Arnold.
